Suffolk's Sweet 16

Fastpitch World has put together a list of the top 16 teams in Suffolk County. Our report is based on strength of schedule and how each team fared vs. each other. We understand that for the most part teams have to play the schedule that their league puts in front of them, but we have taken strength of non-league schedule and opponents faced into account as well. Here is our rundown:

Bay Shore: Has taken on all Public School competition and has yet to take a loss. Has 1 Long Island overall loss vs. St. John the Baptist.

Eastport: Has played a tough schedule and has handled every tough opponent.

West Babylon: Is still NY State defending Champions and handled East Islip easily. Loss to St. Johns.

East Islip: Relatively easy schedule and lost their only tough game to West Babylon but we cannot ignore a 13-1 record.

Commack: Won 4 of 7 tough games and only lost 3 tough games by one run in each game.

Brentwood: Team play has leveled off and with all the rain it may be tough for them to keep pace, however, they can still hit.

Pat-Med: 5-3 tough team record and looks like the playoffs are in their future. Also another team that could fall because of the rain.

Kings Park: has a 2-3 tough game schedule but two of those wins were vs. Hauppauge and Sayville.

Sayville: 2 tough game wins vs. Hauppauge and Miller Place which gives them the 9 spot.

Connetquot: Back on the list based on their recent play, with four straight wins and two coming against Brentwood and Pat-Med.

Others to be considered: Hauppauge, Sachem East, Miller Place, Whitman, Ward Melville, Smithtown East.
